Palworld 1.0 Guide: All New Pals With Their Full Stats And Work Suitabilities

Palworld, developed and published by Pocketpair, officially exits its long early access with the 1.0 launch landing on every platform. Here’s the complete guide to every brand-new Pal added to the game’s Paldeck in this massive release update.

Palworld 1.0 Drops 72 Brand-New Pals Across 47 New Species And 25 Elemental Variants

The 1.0 version of Palworld packs the single largest Paldeck expansion the game has ever seen with 72 brand-new Pals dropped in one massive update. Pocketpair splits this huge addition into 47 brand-new species with entirely original designs and 25 elemental variants of existing Pals from the current bestiary. The total roster of catchable creatures in the game climbs to a whopping 287 Pals for the most dedicated completionists out there. The bulk of the newcomers are concentrated in the 2 brand-new regions dropped alongside this massive update.

The 2 new zones are Sunreach, a sky islands archipelago held aloft by the power of Paldium, and the World Tree that finally wraps up the main story of the game. Neither of these 2 regions unlocks immediately at the 1.0 launch even for the most seasoned veterans of the game. Unlocking these zones requires wrapping up specific quests tied to previous update content threads. The 25 elemental variants follow the classic naming convention of the game with the base Pal name followed by a suffix flagging their affinity Ignis, Cryst, Noct, Lux, Primo, Terra or Botan.

Most of the 25 elemental variants share the general body and work suitabilities of their base Pal from the original bestiary. They however arrive packing entirely different elemental affinities and updated movesets adjusted for their new specialization. Some variants also see their work suitability shift depending on their new affinity element. Players should therefore check whether the base Pal’s work skill transfers to the target variant before every hunt.

How To Prepare Efficiently To Catch Every Brand-New Pal In The Game

Here’s everything players need to absolutely sort out before heading out to hunt the 72 brand-new Pals across the 2 new regions:

  • Wrap up the prerequisite quests -> The 2 brand-new Sunreach and World Tree regions are fully quest-gated by main story missions of the game
  • Stock up on high-tier Pal Spheres -> The endgame Pals of the new zones pack higher base stats and lower catch rates against standard spheres
  • Clear your Palbox before heading out -> Players absolutely need to make room for the 72 brand-new entries without stopping the hunt to manage inventory
  • Build a dedicated capture team -> A crew capable of inflicting status ailments dramatically boosts the catch rate on rare or boss-tier Pals
  • Unlock the Wing Pack -> This endgame equipment lets players glide and fly without mounts to efficiently explore the Sunreach sky islands
  • Farm Radiant Gems at the World Tree -> These gems fuel the Awakening system of your Pals to push beyond their natural stat caps
  • Use the Mutation breeding mechanic -> This brand-new breeding mechanic produces stronger Pals with unique passive skills at a low probability rate

Players jumping into a brand-new save need to work through the entire quest chain first. This progression gradually unlocks the majority of the new Pals available to catch. Players carrying over older saves have probably already wrapped up some of the prerequisite quests along the way. Pocketpair however recommends starting fresh to fully soak up the 1.0 experience of the game. This version marks the real conclusion of the main story with the long-awaited access to the World Tree finally opening up after the early access era.
