Nintendo Direct Set for June 9, 2026: Date, Time and Rumored Reveals Ahead of the Stream

The Nintendo Direct kicks off at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET / 3:00 PM BST and runs for roughly 50 minutes. The Nintendo Treehouse: Live! segment that follows clocks in around 95 minutes and digs into gameplay sessions for the announced titles. All in, viewers are looking at more than 2 hours and 20 minutes of back-to-back Nintendo content.

Nintendo has confirmed the presentation will zero in on games launching in the back half of 2026 across the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. The Kyoto-based publisher is sticking to its soft-handover strategy between both consoles, keeping a steady software pipeline running for either audience thanks to backward compatibility. Analysts are betting on a mix of first-party heavy hitters (Mario, Zelda, Super Smash Bros) and beefed-up third-party support for the Switch 2.

On the rumor side, a handful of names keep surfacing in the gaming press. Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, revealed at the September 2025 Nintendo Direct and slated for 2026 on Switch 2, could finally land an official release window or drop a fresh gameplay reveal. A possible Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is also doing the rounds with several insiders, with no official word from Nintendo. The Direct may also touch on online services, Nintendo Switch Online perks, and possible hardware accessories down the line for the Switch 2.
