Major reveals included Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Resident Evil Veronica, Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, Guild Wars 3 and The Wolf Among Us 2’s long-awaited return. Capcom kicked off Summer Game Fest with the official reveal of Resident Evil Veronica, a remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica. The game is scheduled to land in 2027 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC, confirming the leak that Dusk Golem dropped earlier that week.

Studio MDHR surprised fans with Mighty Cuphead Adventure, a spin-off of the Cuphead franchise. Unlike the original game’s hand-drawn animation style, this spin-off ditches the 1930s aesthetic and adopts an 8-bit visual style, landing as a retro action-platformer shooter.
No release date or platforms have been confirmed yet. The project continues Studio MDHR‘s expansion of the Cuphead universe following the success of the The Delicious Last Course DLC.
Studio MDHR doubled down by confirming that a full Cuphead sequel is also in development, separate from the Mighty Cuphead Adventure spin-off. The studio shared few details about the project, which is still in its early stages.

NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment dropped a new trailer for Blood Message, a cinematic linear action-adventure set during the late Tang Dynasty in 848 AD. Players control a nameless messenger travelling east to deliver information that could determine the fate of his homeland.
The game places a strong focus on its historical setting, with the journey framed by the customs, landscapes and culture of the era. Blood Message is currently in development for PC and consoles with no release window announced.
RGG Studio released a new trailer for Stranger Than Heaven and confirmed the game will launch on January 15, 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The trailer revealed that Tupac Shakur will appear in the game, joining Snoop Dogg who was previously confirmed as part of the cast.
Snoop Dogg even came on stage during the showcase to discuss the inclusion of the late rapper and confirm that Death Row Games is still active. The reveal slots the game into the Japanese studio’s expanding narrative slate beyond the Like a Dragon franchise.
Dead Astronauts revealed Haex, a science-fiction first-person shooter scheduled to launch in 2027. The announcement trailer showed a surreal world filled with towering obelisks, mysterious structures and fast-paced movement abilities.
