Summer Game Fest 2026 Recap: All 41 Reveals and Their Release Dates

Capcom kicked off Summer Game Fest with the official reveal of Resident Evil Veronica, a remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica. The game is scheduled to land in 2027 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC, confirming the leak that Dusk Golem dropped earlier that week.

Studio MDHR surprised fans with Mighty Cuphead Adventure, a spin-off of the Cuphead franchise. Unlike the original game’s hand-drawn animation style, this spin-off ditches the 1930s aesthetic and adopts an 8-bit visual style, landing as a retro action-platformer shooter.

No release date or platforms have been confirmed yet. The project continues Studio MDHR‘s expansion of the Cuphead universe following the success of the The Delicious Last Course DLC.

Studio MDHR doubled down by confirming that a full Cuphead sequel is also in development, separate from the Mighty Cuphead Adventure spin-off. The studio shared few details about the project, which is still in its early stages.

No gameplay footage was shown — only a teaser confirming the project exists. More information is expected in the coming months on this highly anticipated follow-up to the 2017 original.

Creative Assembly finally lifted the curtain on Alien: Isolation 2 at Summer Game Fest 2026, twelve years after the 2014 original. The trailer revealed that the sequel takes place on Kurosaki Station, a colony built on a planet, marking a clear departure from the confined spaceship setting of the first game.

The developers described the new location as a fresh hunting ground for the Xenomorph, with gameplay still focused on survival and escape rather than direct confrontation. No release window has been announced.

Fumito Ueda and genDesign revealed the official title of their next game: gen ATLAS. The trailer showed a human-sized character climbing across a massive robot, alongside glimpses of third-person shooting. Platforms and a release window have not yet been confirmed.

NetEase Games and 24 Entertainment dropped a new trailer for Blood Message, a cinematic linear action-adventure set during the late Tang Dynasty in 848 AD. Players control a nameless messenger travelling east to deliver information that could determine the fate of his homeland.

The game places a strong focus on its historical setting, with the journey framed by the customs, landscapes and culture of the era. Blood Message is currently in development for PC and consoles with no release window announced.

RGG Studio released a new trailer for Stranger Than Heaven and confirmed the game will launch on January 15, 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The trailer revealed that Tupac Shakur will appear in the game, joining Snoop Dogg who was previously confirmed as part of the cast.

Snoop Dogg even came on stage during the showcase to discuss the inclusion of the late rapper and confirm that Death Row Games is still active. The reveal slots the game into the Japanese studio’s expanding narrative slate beyond the Like a Dragon franchise.

Dead Astronauts revealed Haex, a science-fiction first-person shooter scheduled to launch in 2027. The announcement trailer showed a surreal world filled with towering obelisks, mysterious structures and fast-paced movement abilities.

The project comes from developers who previously worked on The Division, although its setting and visual direction appear to be considerably more experimental. The game is currently confirmed for PC only.

Behaviour Interactive used Summer Game Fest 2026 to announce Dead by Daylight‘s tenth anniversary with a mystery collaboration set for June 14, 2026. The teaser kept the partner IP under wraps, leaving the community to speculate about possible candidates.

The asymmetrical 4v1 game continues to thrive since its 2016 launch. Previous collaborations already included Stranger Things, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Castlevania and more recently FNAF.

The game is heading to PC with no firm release date. It fits squarely in the Foddian games category alongside Getting Over It and Jump King, which built strong communities on Twitch in recent years.

Bandai Namco announced Gundam Rogue Orbit, a fast-paced action game set in a new timeline within the broader Gundam universe. Players step into the role of ace pilot RE-X, who operates a high-mobility suit known as Gundam Helix.

Epic Games used Summer Game Fest 2026 to drop the trailer for Fortnite‘s Chapter 7 Season 2. The show teased new characters, fresh map locations and several major pop-culture collaborations already lined up.

The season kicks off in the coming weeks with the usual rotation of battle pass content, new weapons and in-game events. Fortnite continues to dominate the live-service space with a massive and active player base worldwide.

Smilegate and That’s No Moon revealed a new single-player CrossFire game with a strong emphasis on cinematic storytelling, tactical movement and character-driven action. The studio includes former developers from Naughty Dog and several other major teams.

Obsidian Entertainment confirmed that Grounded 2 will land on PS5 on August 11, 2026, alongside the Into Abyss update. The sequel to the miniature survival game brings new mechanics and fresh content to the original’s formula.

Jagex confirmed that RuneScape: Dragonwilds will leave Early Access and launch in full on September 15, 2026. The open-world survival-crafting game is heading to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, marking the first time the RuneScape franchise has ever appeared on consoles.

The 1.0 release ships with the new Scorned Wilderness update, alongside content from the upcoming Umbral Sands expansion. Dragonwilds originally launched in Early Access on PC in April 2025.

Patrice Désilets, one of the original creators of Assassin’s Creed, returned to Summer Game Fest to reintroduce 1666: Amsterdam. The third-person action-adventure is set in a dark interpretation of 17th-century Amsterdam and places a strong focus on story-driven exploration.

Bloober Team announced Saw: Genesis, a 3v1 asymmetrical multiplayer horror game set in the Saw universe. CI Games and Hexworks released a new platform announcement trailer for Lords of the Fallen II. The action RPG is now confirmed to launch on Steam alongside the Epic Games Store, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S when it arrives in fall 2026.

The assignment begins as a controlled simulation but quickly spirals into chaos after a murder occurs aboard the ship. Guard must investigate the incident, identify the Impostor and prove their own innocence before the rest of the crew is eliminated. The game is heading to PC and Nintendo Switch.

IO Interactive used Summer Game Fest 2026 to show off a new mission from 007 First Light. The Danish studio behind the Hitman franchise is preparing its original James Bond game with a young 007 in training.

No firm release date has been shared yet. The project is highly anticipated by fans of the British franchise after more than a decade without a major James Bond video game release.

NCSoft confirmed that AION 2 will launch in September 2026 on PC. The MMORPG returns with a modernised follow-up after years of anticipation from fans of the Asmodian and Elyos saga.

The South Korean studio is pushing further into the international market following the title’s earlier Asian launch. More technical details are expected in the coming months before the official release.

Capcom revealed Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, a major expansion for Monster Hunter Wilds that is scheduled to arrive in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The reveal trailer introduced a new region built around floating islands and aerial traversal.

Players will be able to explore the land above the existing world, unlock additional abilities and take on Master Rank hunts against more dangerous monsters, including Elder Dragons. More details are expected in the coming months.

Swords of Legends was announced during Summer Game Fest 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The action RPG developed by Wangyuan Shengtang offers a Chinese fantasy universe inspired by traditional martial arts.

Milestone announced Hot Wheels Infinite Rush, a new open-world racing game based on Mattel‘s toy-car franchise. The game builds on the foundations of the studio’s two Hot Wheels Unleashed titles while moving into a larger free-roaming environment.

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force announced Attack on Titan 3, the next entry in the action-game series based on Hajime Isayama‘s manga and anime. The new game will cover the full Attack on Titan storyline, from the early days of the Survey Corps through to its conclusion.

The trailer teased battles against the Nine Titans, alongside new story content designed to expand on the characters and lore. Attack on Titan 3 is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam. Koei Tecmo plans to share more information on July 1.

Maverick Games revealed Clutch, an open-world action-driving game from a team led by former Forza Horizon creative director Mike Brown and several senior developers who previously worked on the series. Rather than focusing purely on festival-style racing, Clutch appears to place greater emphasis on its story campaign, characters and underworld setting.

Players step into the shoes of Theo, voiced by Tosin Cole, as he risks his life racing in the Riviera 1000 by day and the underground street-racing scene by night. The trailer showed high-speed races, vehicle customisation and action-oriented driving mechanics, including the use of grapple hooks. Clutch is scheduled to launch in spring 2027.

Chronicles: Medieval was announced for Early Access on PC during 2026. The game offers a medieval simulation with management and strategy elements.

No firm release date has been shared beyond this early-access window. The first footage shown teases a richly detailed medieval setting.

Sea of Remnants is set to drop in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The project offers a maritime adventure exploring the remnants of a sunken civilisation.

The title developed by NetEase does not yet have a precise release date. The first footage shown leans into a distinctive aquatic and melancholic art direction.

Pocketpair confirmed that Palworld will officially leave Early Access with the launch of its 1.0 update on July 10, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.

The announcement arrived alongside a cinematic trailer, although the developer has not yet outlined the full scope of the update. Palworld originally entered Early Access in January 2024 and has received multiple content updates since launch.

After a lengthy wait and multiple delays, The Wolf Among Us 2 returned with a new trailer at Summer Game Fest. Telltale Games confirmed that the sequel is now targeting a 2027 release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The trailer showed Bigby Wolf investigating a series of grisly murders while retaining the noir-inspired atmosphere and comic-book visual style associated with the original episodic adventure. Telltale also announced that a remastered version of the first game will arrive during the 2026 holiday season.

Alongside the sequel, Telltale Games announced that The Wolf Among Us Remastered will land during the 2026 holiday season on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC. The remaster gives new players a chance to discover the 2013 original before diving into The Wolf Among Us 2.

The studio has not yet shared specific technical details about the improvements made for this remaster. A classic move to rebuild momentum around Telltale‘s cult narrative franchise.

Shift Up officially unveiled Stellar Blade: Blood Rain, the sequel to its 2024 action game. The project is still early in development, but its first trailer offered a substantial look at the darker direction the studio is taking with the follow-up.

The sequel continues the story of the original Stellar Blade while introducing a new protagonist. The trailer moved from a subdued opening sequence into fast-paced combat against large, grotesque creatures in a dense urban environment. Platforms and a release window have not yet been confirmed.

The trailer showed Cloud and the party travelling aboard the Highwind as Sephiroth moves closer to godhood and Meteor threatens the planet. Players will be able to freely explore the world from the airship, descend into different regions and revisit locations including Wutai. Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind will also join the playable roster, while a new armour-based FIT system introduces additional combat options inspired by the job systems of older Final Fantasy games.
