PS Plus June 2026 Lineup Revealed and It Might Disappoint Subscribers

Here is the full list of titles added to PS Plus Essential in June 2026:

• Grounded Fully Yoked Edition (PS5 and PS4, released April 16, 2024) → The multiplayer survival game from Obsidian Entertainment, where four miniaturized friends try to survive in a backyard overrun with giant insects. The title is generally praised for its cooperative mode, but it’s a 2022 game whose PlayStation version is already nearly two years old, with no new content planned since the 1.4 Fully Yoked update was announced by the studio as the final one. A juicy detail, Grounded is an Xbox Game Studios production, meaning Sony is essentially handing out a Microsoft game to its subscribers, which is still rare enough to be worth pointing out.
• Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 (PS5 and PS4, released November 7, 2023) → The Super Smash Bros.-style platform fighter featuring Nickelodeon icons, from SpongeBob to Danny Phantom and April O’Neil. The sequel fixed the original’s shortcomings with proper voice acting and a story mode, but it never managed to compete with MultiVersus or the Smash Bros. Ultimate behemoth. The game is now largely absent from competitive tournaments and remains primarily a party experience between friends, with no lasting impact.
• Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (PS5, released December 3, 2024) → The four-player co-op hack’n’slash from Fatshark, spiritual successor to Vermintide 2. The game had a disastrous launch on PC in November 2022, with thin content, aggressive microtransactions and broken optimization that drove away most of the Steam community within weeks. The PS5 version released in late 2024 benefited from two years of patches, but it also inherits the baggage of a title that never recovered its initial momentum.

Subscribers also have until June 2 to claim the three free games of May 2026, before they are permanently removed from the PS Plus catalog. Once added to the library, these titles remain accessible as long as the subscription stays active.

Wuchang Fallen Dynasty delivers an ambitious souls-like experience set in a stylized medieval China. Nine Sols is a 2D action metroidvania acclaimed for its taopunk-inspired art direction and demanding parry-based combat. Two very different titles that alone justify logging into the PS Store before the rotation.

Note that EA Sports FC 26 will not disappear from PS Plus when the new games arrive on June 2. The football simulator from Electronic Arts remains accessible for free to subscribers until June 16, 2026, two extra weeks beyond the usual rotation. A window that should allow many casual players to discover the title before its definitive removal from the catalog.

This exceptional extension accompanies the release of the World Cup update scheduled in the game on June 4, 2026. The content introduces a brand-new 48-team national tournament mode, additional stadiums and new challenges designed specifically for the global sporting event.

For comparison, Xbox Game Pass is adding Final Fantasy 6 and Jurassic World Evolution 3 to its catalog in June 2026, alongside a selection of promising indies. Hard to defend the PS Plus argument this month against the competition, especially when the annual subscription has seen its price climb in recent years without the quality of free games following the same trajectory. The June 2026 lineup at least has the merit of aligning three cooperative or competitive multiplayer games, ideal for spending time with friends this summer.
