EA Sports and Codemasters have just unveiled the official trailer for the 2026 Season Pack for F1 25. The official trailer is available right now on the EA Sports F1 YouTube channel.
The 2026 Season Pack is a paid expansion for F1 25 available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is not included in the base game and requires F1 25 ownership. Its price has not been officially announced yet. The trailer confirms the arrival of Audi and Cadillac as two new teams on the 2026 grid. Gabriel Bortoleto at Audi and Valtteri Bottas at Cadillac appear as the faces of these two new outfits. Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari colors completes the cover trio, symbolizing his historic move from Mercedes to the Scuderia.
The 2026 Season Pack integrates the full set of regulatory changes for the 2026 Formula 1 season. The new cars are lighter and feature hybrid power units with a near-even split between electric and combustion energy. Drivers will need to manage their battery during races and pick the optimal moment to deploy full power or recharge. It’s one of the most significant gameplay shifts in the franchise in years. Arvid Lindblad, Racing Bulls rookie, will be playable for the first time in an official F1 game. Honda returns as an engine supplier with Aston Martin, while Renault exits the grid after Alpine‘s switch to Mercedes power. In My Team mode, Honda will be available as an engine partner and Red Bull will carry the Ford badge.
The Madring is the big surprise track of the 2026 Season Pack. This 5.4-kilometer semi-urban circuit in Madrid will host the Spanish Grand Prix, replacing the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit starting in September 2026 on the real-world calendar. Its 22 corners and the heavily banked Turn 12 make it one of the most distinctive layouts on the current calendar. It’s the first new European street circuit to be added to an official F1 game in years.
The big question everyone is asking is how faithful the new cars will be to their real-world behavior. Driver feedback on the 2026 cars on track has been brutal. Fernando Alonso called the 2026 season the « battery world championship ». Lando Norris, 2025 champion, said he had gone « from driving the best cars ever built in F1 to the worst ». Max Verstappen joked that he now trains on Mario Kart rather than the simulator. If Codemasters faithfully reproduces these behaviors in-game, F1 25 will demand significant adaptation from players. If the studio smooths these traits out for playability, the entire credibility of the Season Pack is on the line. The answer to that question is the real stake of this 2026 Season Pack, far beyond the content itself. For background on this historic decision, see our previous article on EA replacing F1 26 with an expansion.
