Palworld Devs Would Love Crossovers With Several Beloved Games

Palworld blew past the 855,000 concurrent players mark on Steam in the very first hours of the 1.0 version launch. This number lands the title among the biggest Steam successes of 2026 alongside the platform’s largest recent drops. John « Bucky » Buckley, Head of Publishing & Communications at Pocketpair, personally called the score « staggering » compared to the studio’s internal expectations.

The 1.0 version wraps up more than 2 years of early access kicked off in January 2024 with massively expanded content. The update packs over 27 pages of official patch notes and introduces more than 72 brand-new Pals in total. The studio also adds a main narrative campaign that now guides players from the starting zone. The journey leads all the way to the final reveal of the World Tree in the game.

John « Bucky » Buckley broke down his dream Palworld crossovers in an interview with specialized outlet Game8. The publishing chief at Pocketpair name-dropped ARK: Survival Evolved from Studio Wildcard as the top priority given the close ties between both dev teams. A commercial bundle between Palworld and ARK was recently released across online platforms as a first step.

The exec also mentioned Enshrouded from Keen Games and No Man’s Sky from Hello Games as long-term potential collabs. The last lead has been on the radar since April 2026 when Buckley publicly tagged Sean Murray from Hello Games on X to pitch a collaboration between both studios. No Man’s Sky shortly after dropped its Xeno Arena update packed with creature-collector mechanics inspired by the genre. This new direction makes the Palworld crossover angle even more relevant on paper.

Buckley stressed however that none of these leads are locked in at this stage. The exec explains that Pocketpair would « love to work with ARK if that ever came around ». He admits however that « how do you put dinosaurs in Palworld? It’s hard to figure that out ». His signature line sums up the studio’s philosophy on every potential IP. Buckley delivered in the interview: « If we could make it make sense, we would do it tomorrow ». These statements open the door to future major content drops for the community. The smash hits of the Tides of Terraria crossover and the Ultrakill collaboration in 2025 already reinforce the studio’s credibility on this front.
