Sony is on a roll this July 1, 2026. Just hours after dropping the physical disc bombshell, the PlayStation Blog rolls out a fresh lineup. 3 games hit the PlayStation Plus catalog on July 7, 2026 and stay up for grabs until August 3, 2026.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision, launched on November 10, 2023. PS Plus offers the Cross-Gen Bundle compatible with both PS5 and PS4. The title is the direct sequel to Modern Warfare II (2022) and wraps up the reboot Modern Warfare arc kicked off in 2019. The single-player campaign brings back the iconic villain Vladimir Makarov.
The multiplayer revisits 16 iconic maps from Modern Warfare 2 (2009) for a full throwback experience. The Open Combat missions bring a level of approach freedom never seen before in the saga. The Zombies mode ships as an open-world PvE experience tied into Call of Duty: Warzone, the franchise’s free-to-play battle royale.
Reviews were mixed at launch, with the short campaign splitting the community. The multiplayer and Zombies mode, however, were widely praised. The PS Plus arrival is the perfect chance to catch up on the cult saga without dropping extra cash.
The tactical RPG For the King II, developed by IronOak Games and published by Curve Games, launched on November 2, 2023. The PS Plus version is available on both PS5 and PS4. The title is the direct sequel to For the King (2018), a Steam indie hit that shipped more than 1.5 million copies. The game delivers turn-based combat in a hand-drawn heroic fantasy setting.
The 4-player co-op mode is the beating heart of the experience. Each run generates a fresh procedural dungeon, guaranteeing endless replayability. The strategic team-based choices channel classic tabletop games. Combat blends tactical positioning and dice rolls for a truly unique flavor.
The sequel doubles down on the winning formula with cranked-up tactical depth. Critics gave the game a warm reception, especially for its co-op content. The title fits right in the tradition of modern, demanding roguelikes that keep every run fresh.
The pixel art Action-RPG CrossCode, developed by Radical Fish Games, originally launched on PC in 2018 before hitting consoles in 2020. The PlayStation Plus catalog now offers it on both PS5 and PS4. The game blends real-time combat straight out of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with challenging environmental puzzles. The cyberpunk sci-fi setting drops players into a virtual MMORPG called CrossWorlds.
The story follows Lea, a mute young woman navigating the virtual world of CrossWorlds. Ranged combat relies on an energy ball with elemental effects. The dungeons pack puzzles built around projectile manipulation. The game clocks in at over 50 hours to complete the main adventure.
CrossCode is regularly ranked among the best indie games of the past 10 years. The title was met with universal acclaim from critics on launch. The A New Home DLC adds roughly 20 hours of extra content. The PS Plus arrival finally opens up this cult indie to the widest possible audience.
