Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era nails its comeback with 1 million units sold in under a month. Developer Unfrozen and publisher Ubisoft are now rolling out a comprehensive roadmap leading to the 1.0 release. The franchise born in 1995 cements its revival after more than 10 years of waiting.
Launched in Early Access on April 30, 2026, Olden Era quickly won over turn-based strategy fans. The game is available on Steam, Microsoft Store and PC Game Pass. The title crossed the symbolic million copies sold milestone in under 30 days. It also stacked up 1.5 million Steam wishlists prior to launch. This score places it in the all-time top 10 of most wishlisted games on the platform. Steam reviews currently sit at 90% positive based on community feedback.
Unfrozen Studio, headquartered in Limassol, Tashkent and Belgrade, was already known for Iratus: Lord of the Dead released in 2020. The launch window aligns with a day one PC Game Pass debut brokered by publishers Hooded Horse and Ubisoft. The game peaked at nearly 60,000 concurrent Steam players according to SteamDB. The official Discord community now counts over 25,000 active members.
The commercial success comes with an ambitious roadmap unveiled by Unfrozen on its official channels. The rollout breaks down into 4 distinct phases leading to the 1.0 release planned for late 2026.
