The June 2 State of Play has already lost its biggest surprise. On May 27, 2026, the X account intercelluar shared a logo that sent social media into a frenzy, one that Ubisoft clearly planned to reveal later. The mascot in question will make its grand return during the State of Play scheduled for June 2, 2026.
The scoop spread fast. On May 27, 2026, the X account intercelluar posted the official logo of a project previously known only by its codename Project Steambot. The same leaker had accurately revealed Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced before its official announcement, lending this new leak strong credibility. Additional images, screenshots and concept art won’t be released, with an official reveal imminent.
The leak was swiftly corroborated by Insider Gaming. Editor-in-chief Tom Henderson had already been hearing plenty of positive buzz around the project 3 weeks earlier. Insider NateTheHate then chimed in on the ResetEra forums. He confirmed the game would be revealed during the State of Play on June 2, 2026, alongside Marvel’s Wolverine. The official title is now confirmed by 3 separate sources. It’s indeed Rayman Legends Retold, the long-awaited remake of the 2013 original.
The release window also seems set. Insider Gaming reports that Rayman Legends Retold will launch on October 1, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Development is handled by Ubisoft Milan, the studio behind the acclaimed Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. Several former members of that team are reportedly involved in the project, which is promising news for platformer fans.
The exact nature of the remake still awaits official confirmation. Some reports suggest a full 3D reimagining of the 2013 original rather than a straightforward HD port. NateTheHate also claims the game will feature new content and additional features. This release is part of Ubisoft’s ongoing revival of the franchise, following the Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition revealed during the previous State of Play. Original creator Michel Ancel could also be tied to the project, according to some Italian sources.
