  • State of Decay 3 -> Undead Labs drops the first proper gameplay trailer for its open-world survival sequel after years of silence. The game leans into settlement building, community management, and a smarter, more aggressive zombie threat. Playable solo or in 4-player shared-world co-op, launching in 2027.
  • Clockwork Revolution -> Steampunk first-person RPG from InXile Entertainment, set in a Victorian world with time-travel mechanics that let players rewrite history. Announced as an Xbox Console Exclusive for 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, PC Steam and Microsoft Store. Day-one in Game Pass.

  • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 -> First official look at the new DMZ mode, a fresh extraction shooter experience set in the Modern Warfare universe. • Magicians: The Devil’s Deal -> New narrative fantasy FPS from Uppercut Games published by Focus Entertainment. The game blends BioShock and Dishonored aesthetics with a late 19th century stage magic setting. Launches in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC Steam, day-one in Game Pass.

Xbox Games Showcase 2026 in Review

The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 marks a turning point for Microsoft with the return of Xbox Console Exclusives on major titles like Gears of War: E-Day and Clockwork Revolution, a clear signal of the new direction set by CEO Asha Sharma after Phil Spencer‘s departure in February 2026. The 25th anniversary celebration leans heavily on flagship franchises (Halo, Gears of War, Fable, DOOM) while doubling down on nostalgic comebacks (Spyro, Crazy Taxi, Castlevania).

On the partner side, Atlus lands the show’s biggest punch with the simultaneous reveal of Persona 6 and the dated Persona 4 Revival. Ninja Theory keeps the Hellblade franchise alive with Senua, and Toys for Bob delivers the first all-new Spyro in nearly 20 years. The lineup locks in a stacked first half of 2027 for Microsoft, all backed by Game Pass Ultimate.
